Moberg is working in the fields of visual arts and poetry and exploring their intersections. In visual arts, her techniques mainly involve scratchboard, painting and letterpress printing. Her still life and graphic scratchboard works explore the theme of melancholy through vanitas motifs, as well as animal and plant symbolism.

Moberg holds an M.A from Aalto-University, Department of Art and Media. She has worked at MIELI Mental Health Finland on projects that promote mental health through art and culture. Currently she is interested in the topics of artists´ work and mental wellbeing. Moberg is also active in various art, literature and cultural wellbeing associations. She is a member of a national interdisciplinary art organisation MUU.

From asemic writing to video poetry

In recent years Moberg has been examining asemic writing and has created asemic poems using techniques such as letterpress printing and mixed media.

Through asemic poetry, I explore the unspeakable. How the meanings of text, not based on rationality, are conveyed through rhythm, movement and space, as well as what emotions it evokes. I find myself increasingly drawn to non-representational visual expression.”

Moberg´s first poetry book “Kaksoissisäinen” was published in 2022 (Basam Books). The book delves into themes such as complex youth relationships, mental health struggles, and the experience of loneliness.

In addition to writing and stage poetry, Moberg´s practice expands to video poetry that integrates video art with poetic text and performance. She is particularly interested in experimental approach, shared authorship and the role of the body. Moberg has performed in various literature events in Finland and in Estonia. Her poetry video Asking for permission was selected in the official programs of Cadence Video Poetry Festival, Seattle and World Poetry Championship, Brussels in 2022, and lately the video was selected in the Mental Health Europe “Threads of Being” exhibition in Brussels.
