PMP News 3/2025

Big hello to you all PMP artists and partners!
We have a lot to look forward to this autumn! The highlight of the season is of course the Workshop Week in Split in October. Another exciting thing keeping many busy and inspired is all the planning that is going into preparing the grand finale next year – the exhibitions taking place all over and online!
Team Lapland UAS is proud to be among the first to announce their plans for the exhibition. Their exhibition will be part of the Oulu2026 European Capital of Culture programme. Along with the exhibition there will also be the final seminar for the project. Congratulations – this sounds amazing!
Autumn activities
We are now delving deep into the theme of Media and Professional Identity – how to build your professional identity and reflecting on what it really is and how it is shaped. This theme is something that you were suggesting when asked what you would like to learn more about.
The thematic Online Seminar on 1.9.2025 gave a lot to think about and many practical ideas to work with. Here´s short recap of the seminar to refresh your memory. If you missed the seminar, or feel like returning to it, you can watch the Online Seminar recordings.
In October 13-17 we will continue with the theme during the Split Workshop Week. Congratulations to all the selected artists. During the week you get to work with expert mentors and each other, learn about branding, how to write about and present your own work, build a portfolio etc.
We hope you will share your experience on your social media profiles and tag the project as well for resharing – IG: @professional_media_presence and FB: Professional Media Presence. After the week, we´d also be grateful for any testimonials you might want to share with us. You can send those to pmp@turkuamk.fi or to your local contact person.
Introducing the hybrid residency artists
Three artists will continue working in Split after the Workshop Week. The residency artists are Alexandra Stroganova from Finland and Eleanora Serpente and Roberta Di Serio, who together form gruppocorp3, a dance collective from Italy. We wish them an inspiring and creatively fulfilling residency experience.
Meet the artists: Alexandra and gruppocorp3.

Funding tip
Culture Moves Europe
PMP project manager and an authentic project work pro Emma Uotinen´s tip is to keep an eye on the rolling calls for the Culture Moves Europe funding scheme. It offers mobility grants that open every year between autumn and spring and are open for all creative sectors (architecture, cultural heritage, design and fashion design, literature, music, performing arts and visual arts). The scheme consists of two action lines: individual mobility and residencies. The individual mobility action offers financial support to individuals who travel between 7 and 40 days or groups of up to 5 persons who travel between 7 and 14 days.
Next call will open early autumn so check this page frequently: Culture Moves Europe – Culture and Creativity.
Next issue
Next PMP News will drop in your inboxes mid December. If you have stories or news you´d like to share, or you think would interest your fellow NAT artists, please get in touch with your local PMP contact person.
Wishing you all a creative and soulful autumn 2025!
