Forms of Presence is using the bathroom as a space of confrontation and reflection. It is a place where not only bodily identity becomes tangible. Where skin, posture, gesture, aging, care, discomfort, and desire reveal themselves through everyday rituals. The bathroom mirror does not simply reflect a body; it stages an encounter with oneself.
Yet presence within this space is never fixed. While physically enclosed with our bodies, our minds may drift elsewhere. The bathroom becomes a threshold between awareness and absence, between attention and distraction. It is a setting where thoughts unfold in solitude, where memories surface unexpectedly, and where moments of self-recognition coexist with detachment.
The exhibition can be understood as a space where identity is not presented as fixed, but as something continuously formed through bodies, images, materials, environments, memories, cultural references, and technologies.
The bathroom occupies a peculiar place in our lives. It is both intimate and mundane, a space of routine and vulnerability. Removed from the public gaze, it becomes a site where the body is encountered most directly, exposed, and unavoidable.
In a world increasingly experienced through mediated representations of images and screens, what forms can presence take?
This group exhibition that brings together eleven artists does not attempt to provide one answer to what identity is. Instead, it brings together different forms through which identity becomes visible.

Natália Božíková (SK)
Visual artist
Natália Božiková is an artist/art student from Hlohovec (Slovakia), interested in drawing, painting, illustration and writing. She is also interested in art therapy and is guided by the idea: “art can help and heal the soul”.
She is engaged in drawing fashion, landscapes, silhouettes, colors and lines, while exploring the relationship between clothing, body and the environment in which she places her figures. In her work, she combines the accuracy of detail with intuitive depiction. She likes to recycle her works, and transform them into a new project. She has exhibited her works in Trnava in venue Malý Berlín.
Dominika Faktorová (SK)
Photographer, visual artist
Dominika is primarily a photographer, passionate about capturing authentic moments from everyday life, travel, and natural environments. She especially enjoys photographing people and creating expressive portraits. Lately, Dominika has discovered that she can convey a wide range of emotions through colours, which led her to explore painting as a new medium to express identity.

Viliam Fedorko (SK)
Slovakia
Viliam Fedorko is a person born, raised and based in Košice, Slovakia. He has an art degree from FUA TUL Liberec in the field Environmental Design.
In their work he is currently observing possibilities of textile materials and techniques such as crochet and lace. He is fascinated by delicate structures of crochet and lace and the dedication necessary to achieve the final goal. He is deeply inspired by craft in which palpability he still sees one of the last bastions of authenticity against a world where more and more senses are stimulated by generative content.
Threadcraft is a form of rewiring practice.
Helena Jucková
Poem writer
Helena Jucková (27) is a poet from Bratislava, whose work grows out of an urban environment, personal reflection and details of everyday life. Philosophical studies at the University of Trnava where she studied, translated into the thoughtful characters of her poetry. She writes in her free time, where she finds space for meanings, silence and inner questions. She has devoted herself to recitation, thanks to which she has built a relationship with the spoken word. She is interested in photography, where she discovers visual metaphors and new ways of capturing moods. She experiments with music production, connecting poetry with sound space. Her work explores the theme of femininity, lived experience, and how authentic experience is translated into the postmodern world.

Miriam Kandrová (SK)
Visual artist
Miriam Kandrová has been a student at The Elementary Art School in Spišské Vlachy since the age of twelve. She studied Teaching of English language and literature combined with Art Education at the University of Prešov. It was here that she gained experience in graphic techniques, woodcarving, principles of clay work and many other techniques. Her current abstract style is deeply influenced by intuition, emotion, and nature— themes that became central in her Master’s practical work, Changes (Zmeny) (2024).
Following her graduation, Miriam completed an artistic internship at the Associazione Culturale Il Palmerino in Florence, Italy. As part of the internship, she undertook a professional course in paper restoration where she gained practical experience in the preservation of cultural heritage.

Dušan Kutlík (SK/DK)
Industrial designer
Dušan Kutlík originates from Bratislava and is dedicated to product design. Since 2025, he has been more intensely engaged in free creativity in the field of drawing and painting. The theme is often aircraft and its pilots. He draws inspiration from the history of avionics and observation of nature and people. He is artistically inspired by the Japanese director and illustrator Hayao Miyazaki.

Martina Ondovčinová (SK)
Tattoo artist
Martina Ondovčinová is a tattoo artist with skills in painting, developed over eight years at an elementary art school in Levice. At the age of 16, she began to create her own tattoo designs. She runs her own home tattoo studio and bran afra.ink. She edits and produces podcasts, videos, and social media content.
Her work features unapologetic expression and infuses modern and popular designs. In an era of AI, when soulless perfection is often emphasized, Martina’s tattoos are a breath of fresh human creativity. A reminder that art should be a reflection of human existence, not a machine behind a screen. Eternalized on the body, real to the touch.

Viktória Papová (SK)
Painter
Viktória works with creative concepts across artistic and digital spaces. In her work she focuses on drawing, painting and photography. She likes to connect traditional art techniques with a modern visual language and digital environments. Viktória naturally bring creativity into social media work — by creating content, visual communication and brand building, currently mainly in the real estate sector.
Viktória studied landscape architecture, which strongly shapes her approach to space, composition, and working with natural elements. Her important sources of inspiration are plants, the environment, and people’s relationship to place. In everything she does, she tends to connect aesthetics, strategy, and an authentic story.

Silvia Buranovská (Sviteková) (SK)
Dancer, performer
Silvia Buranovská (Sviteková) is a PhD student in the Studio of Spatial Communications at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava and graduate of Dance Theatre and Performance and Dance Art at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava.
Her long-term fascination includes performance in public space, working with the object, as well as striving to understand and especially to grasp experience, whether individual or collective.
For her work, solo Memory of Concrete, she also won an award in the Gala Art Moves competition and presented it at several national and international festivals. Her latest arthor’s work, No Big Celebration, was presented in the Kunsthalle gallery in Bratislava.

Elizaveta Uráková (SK/RU)
Painter
Lisa Urakova (b. Russia, based in Slovakia) began her feminist inquiry by placing the female body in spaces impossible for human existence, the ocean or the cosmos, working through mythical symbols to restore the body’s primordial, sacred autonomy. Her current work turns toward more morbid imagery, at times bringing in Christian iconography, to debate the position staged by default for women within the existing order.

Natália Valková is a visual artist whose work explores themes of emotions, nature, and the dissolution of identity. Her art is characterized by vibrant colors and striking contrasts. She balances traditional techniques with the digital world, creating immersive spaces and visual environments for interactive experiences.
Currently, she is studying Marketing Communication, further developing her skills in social media and graphic design.
