Combining illustration, symbolism, and personal storytelling

Martina Ondovčinová is a tattoo artist with skills in painting, developed over eight years at an elementary art school in Levice, Slovakia. At the age of 16, she began to create her own tattoo designs. She now runs her own home tattoo studio and brand afra.ink. She also edits and produces podcasts, videos, and social media content.

For Martina, skin is a canvas, and every tattoo is a unique collaboration between the artist and the person who wears it. In her work, she combines illustration, symbolism, and personal storytelling. Her work features unapologetic expression and infuses modern and popular designs.

In an era of AI, when soulless perfection is often emphasized, Martina’s tattoos are a breath of fresh human creativity. A reminder that art should be a reflection of human existence, not a machine behind a screen. Eternalized on the body, real to the touch.
